Thank you so much for giving me these tools. You don’t know how many times I have had trouble opening a new bottle. Being sight impaired it is hard to see where the strip is to pull off the cellophane but with your tool it cuts around with no problem. The tool to hold the bottle to apply the drops is amazing. It gets your hand out of the way to see what you are doing. It is also easier to apply the drops.

The opener fits the round little eye drop bottles. Chloramphenicol antibiotic drops and most Optrex varieties and Opticom hay fever drops and the holder is very helpful.

At last there is an efficient and effective tool to deal with impossible-to-open-with-arthritic-hands eye drop bottles. Opening each new bottle of glaucoma medication used to mean a 15 to 20-minute struggle as I attacked it with pliers, ineffective “grippers”, and other inappropriate kitchen utensils, my fingers and wrists all the while screaming in pain. Then a few weeks ago I discovered the CapTool. In my first trial of using it, the pointed end split the plastic shrink wrap around the bottle cap with ease. I then fit the collar around the cap itself. Two sharp twists, requiring moderate effort and minimal wrist pain, and the cap was off. What a blessing! No longer will I have to dread starting a new bottle of medication. I am delighted and relieved!

The CapTool is working wonderfully for me. I'm so thankful to have it and have recommended it to several other people. I've not had occasion to try the drop tool, so I can't comment on that. I'm so used to picking up the bottle and putting drops in my eyes that so far, it hasn't been necessary. As my fingers become even more stiff with arthritis, I may give it a try.
